Experimentation is always part of our MO here at Polly’s HQ, and whilst we’re always happy to embrace our status as a modern day hop slinger, there’s always wiggle room to play around with hop combinations that don’t necessarily lead us down the super concentrated tropical road. Mixed Feelings takes a sideways route for one of our usual hop drenched pale ales with a combination that brings a little more of an old school vibe to proceedings, whilst keeping one foot firmly in the new school. A hearty addition of both Cashmere and Talus both hot and cold side of the brewing process brings a bouquet of bright lemon and lime notes, with some grapefruit, and just an edge of tropical fruit and coconut flavours to the party. Possibly our most complex pale ale to date and a delight from the first sip to the last.
