Citra and El Dorado is a pairing that has woven itself throughout our history as a brewery here at Polly’s.
It’s an easy fallback option, but there’s a reason it’s stood the test of time amid waves and waves of newer hype hops coming in and taking the spotlight – it’s just so incredibly crushable and fresh as a pairing that we can’t not come back to it from time to time. Whether it was those early Loka Polly beers all the way up to the modern Augment releases, this is a combination that doesn’t hold back on the flavour and it’s singing from the rooftops in Miles Apart.
Bold and punchy citrus notes start the party off in this beer, with the ever-expressive Citra bringing the fresh cut limes, grapefruit and slight tropical notes, whilst El Dorado lives up to its mysterious mythical city namesake; imparting a tonne of pineapple and mango notes, with those characteristic Jelly Tot flavours that make us love this hop so much, smashed together in the most drinkable of pale ales.
