When you’re going for one of those wonderful pale ales that straddles the line between sessionable enough to pint but packed with the mouthfeel and flavour intensity of one of our bigger beers, you’ve just got to go with the classics. Humble Render began its life on the drawing board of our brew plans as a beer filling a tricky little spot - if we went lower on the ABV we’d have been too pale and sessionable heavy, any higher and we’d be swamped with strong beer, so why not drop right in the middle? Taking inspiration from an in-house classic in Oh My, we’ve utilised a hot side addition of 100% Citra to lay some pretty delicious foundations of pithy citrus rind bitterness that whispers its way through this beer, and amplified the cold side additions to IPA levels of grams per litre with old favourites El Dorado, even more Citra, and cult classic Sabro to yield a beer that sings with citrus, pina colada, pineapple cube and jelly tot notes a-plenty.
