We were absolutely honoured to receive an email from Queer Brewing earlier this year to ask if we'd like to take part in the festivities for their third birthday party, and as anyone familiar with the brewery knows - we love a party! When discussing the recipe for this beer, we knew we wanted to go down a silly fruited sour beer route, but were unsure what to work with to make the beer match the size of the occasion. Lily suggested utilizing blackcurrant, as a reference to the first beer they produced, Queer Royale, and we fell in love with the idea immediately. Giving this sour an extra twist, we brought lemon to the party to give a bit of tart citrus zip to offset the sweet blackcurrant, all rounded off with Halen Mon sea salt to bring everything together perfectly. Happy three years QB!
