The different waves of craft beer across the years could well be described as earth shattering to generations and generations of drinkers. Whether it was those aggressively-hopped first wave of beers that set the foundations in the the eighties and nineties, the advancement in knowledge and techniques that led to the IBU race of the noughties, or the modern turn away from bitterness units for more soft, fruit-forward styles, brewers have been inspiring new generations and will continue for years to come. Wanting to celebrate each of these waves, we’ve employed a three way dance of C hops in Fault Lines, but with a twist. Cascade represents the founding fathers of the US craft beer movement with pleasant floral, citrus and spice notes, followed by the noughties generation ripping through with bright lemon and lime notes from Citra, before a final lashing of new school favourite here at Polly’s in Cashmere bringing a host of sweet melon flavours.
