Samuel Smith Old Brewery is one of England’s oldest independent breweries, founded in 1758 in Yorkshire. Using traditional methods and stone Yorkshire Square fermenters, it produces heritage ales, stouts and bitters known for smooth drinkability, balanced flavour and classic character, preserving historic recipes and a steadfast commitment to quality craftsmanship. Their Organic Chocolate Stout has been one of our best selling beers for many years. When they were first exported to the USA in the late 1970s, many of their beers were hugely influential to the first wave of American craft brewers.
