Mammoth christmas beer, a real riot of dried fruits, spice, and a warming lick of alcohol in the finish

Bons Voeux is a blond top-fermented beer, refermented in the bottle. Since 1970, the brewery has made this to give as a new years present to their best clients (the name means "with the best wishes of the brewery Dupont").

A big, brooding stout in the foreign export style - lots of intense espresso and dark chocolate flavours, but given a fruity lift with a late addition of hops, which adds an orange-zest freshness.

The full body resulting from fermentation in ''''stone Yorkshire squares'''' and the luxurious malt character, which will appeal to a broad range of drinkers, is balanced against whole-dried Fuggle and Golding hops with nuances and complexities that should be contemplated before an open fire.
