Duchessa pours golden in colour, the head abounding . The nose is fruity (banana, pineapple, tropical fruit) and floral, with a light and pleasant peppery tone. In the mouth the bubbles are fine, a light acidity in the body is noted. The finish is very pleasant and refreshing.

ReAle Extra (6.4%abv, bottle conditioned) is a paler beer than the Reale, quite different in character, all pale malt and Amarillo dry-hopping. It's a little leaner on the nose than ReAle and drier on the palate, with a spicy, slightly medicinal/herbal bitterness, pitching itself somewhere between a pale golden English and a drier Belgian triple. It's a much more grown-up beer than the straight ReAle, less interested in playing a stadium gig than an intimate in-the-know venue.
